Declan was inspired by an artist, David Zinn, that he saw on BBC News, and he thought he could do something similar which kind-of fitted into the visual trickery topic. Shortly after finishing the drawing, the rain started to fall (and hasn’t stopped since!), so Declan added a speech bubble in the space where our doormat usually is!
